Estimating Support

Al's Building Group, Inc.

Estimating is the measure-it, price-it, sign-it app for the staff of Al's Building Group, Inc., a design-build company in Indianapolis. You walk a job, measure the rooms, take photos, price the work, and send the client a proposal they can sign.

Who it is for

Company staff. The app is not for the general public.

Getting an account

Accounts are created by the company's administrator inside the app; there is no public sign-up. Ask the office and you will get an invitation by email. To ask for your account to be deleted, use Settings in the app (coming in the next version) or email the office.

Common questions

Scanning a room says it needs LiDAR. Room scanning uses the depth sensor on iPhone Pro and iPad Pro models. On a device without it, choose "Type it instead" and enter the room's size. Everything else works the same.

Photos. Take them with the camera or choose up to 6 from your library. Each photo shows whether it has been sent to the office.

Proposals and signatures. Review the totals, open the Proposal step, and have the client sign with a finger or pencil. The signed proposal is saved with the job.

I cannot sign in. Check your email and password, then ask the office to reset them.
